To All Streamers: To ensure the best possible streaming quality, please carefully review the documentation in advance:https://docs.billion.live/live-streaming and follow the instructions provided to make sure all the basic settings listed below have been properly completed.
I. Resolve Mask Issue (Stream Output Not Visible)
Windows — x264 Encoder Advanced Settings
Please ensure the following settings are configured exactly as specified to avoid issues in later steps.
Step 1 (Select the Encoder): Go to
Settings->Output->Output Modeand selectAdvanced. InVideo Encoder, choosex264.Step 2 (Configure Parameters): In the settings window that appears after selecting x264, please fill in the following values (no changes are needed for parameters not listed):
Rate control: CBR
Bitrate: 5000 Kbps
Keyframe interval (0 = auto): 2 s
CPU Usage Preset (higher = less CPU): ultrafast
Profile: baseline
Tune: zerolatency
x264 Options (space-separated): Manually enter
threads=1
Mac Users: Apple VT Encoder Advanced Settings
Please ensure the following settings are configured exactly as specified to avoid issues in later steps.
Step 1 (Select the Encode): Go to
Settings->Output, and selectApple VT H264 Hardware EncoderinVideo Encoder,.Step 2 (Configure Parameters):
Rate control: CBR
Bitrate: 5000 Kbps
Keyframe interval (0 = auto): 2 s
Profile: high
⚠️ Important: Make sure to [uncheck] “Use B-frames”.
Ⅱ. Image Quality Enhancement (Fix Mosaic/Blurriness)
Overview: Image clarity is primarily determined by two factors: bitrate and resolution.
Adjust Bitrate (Can be adjusted during a live stream):
In the [Output] interface, the bitrate value directly affects the level of detail in the video.
If the video appears blurry or shows color blocks, streamers should try increasing the bitrate while ensuring smooth streaming. The recommended range is 5000–8000.
Adjust Output (Scaled) Resolution (Cannot be changed during the live stream):
Go to
Settings->VideoBase (Canvas) Resolution: Set uniformly to 1920×1080.
Output (Scaled) Resolution: Keep consistent with the base setting (1920×1080). If this is set lower, the video will immediately appear blurry.
Common FPS values: Set uniformly to 60.
Ⅲ. Common Issues and Self-Troubleshooting
If you encounter any of the following issues during your test stream, please follow the guidance below to troubleshoot them on your own first.
Mask Issue (Stream Output Not Visible)
Incorrect Stream Key: Please check whether you are using the latest stream key and ensure there are no extra spaces in the input field.
Incorrect Output Settings: Check the core parameters on the [Output] page. Windows streamers must ensure that
threads=1is entered, and Mac streamers should confirm that B-frames are unchecked.
Clarity Issue (Blurry Video / Mosaic)
Insufficient Bitrate: Check whether the bitrate value in the
Outputinterface is too low.Insufficient Output (Scaled) Resolution: Check whether the “Output (Scaled) Resolution” in the
Videointerface is set lower than 1920×1080.
Ⅳ. Online Support
If you are still unable to stream properly or would like to further improve streaming quality after completing the above settings, please submit an online support request in the TG support group.
